Yesterday Morrow made her 2016 show-ring debut at the UKC shows in Claremont, California, hosted by the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America.  She did a lot better than in 2015 since she's matured a bit more and looks much less awkward. ..

Her results are as follows, both owner-trained and handled:

Łojma II z Peronówki - under Judge Jean Herring-Murray, Junior class 1, Best Female, Best of Breed, Group 3;

and under Judge Stanley Matsumoto, Junior class 1, Best Female, Best of Breed, Group 4.

Now Morrow has 70 points and a couple of competitive wins under her belt, and should finish her U-Ch. sometimes this year.

I'm really enjoying her overall behavior in the ring too - it's not often you can find confident and friendly Czechoslovakian Vlcak who allows a judge's hands-on exam.  Many times especially in foreign rings we've shown in, the judges never actually put their hands on the dogs, and wouldn't dare of examining the bite themselves..

Today we sadly bid Jolly good-bye for the last time.  She was the grand-dam to both Ghost and Morrow and the progenitor to countless other dogs who carry her on in their lineage.  She was sweet, temperamental, one of the most beautiful and winningest Czechoslovakian Vlcak in the history of the breed. She was not my dog, but I'm so thankful to have known and met her many times in her era, and grateful for the legacy she has left behind in her children, grandchildren.... we keep her life-long owner in our thoughts today.  Rest in Peace, grand-ma Jolly...
